Beachwear - Água de Coco

Água de Coco was mentioned at the blog meeting, that happened last Sunday, as one of the best beachwear collection at the last São Paulo Fashion Week Spring-Summer 2009 collection. Usually, as many other people, I don't pay enough attention for this brand's pieces and I couldn't remember it exactly when the show was remembered by Ale Garratoni from It Girls.

My short memory or pure lack of attention made me look for the Água de Coco Spring-Summer SS '09 collection pictures and I was surprised that the pieces are really pretty. Enjoy!

No encontrinho de blogs do domingo, a Ale Garratoni do It Girls colocou que o desfile da Água de Coco foi lindo. Eu fiz que lembrava e fiquei quietinha ouvindo.

Na verdade, acho que eu nem vi as fotos desse desfile ou eu esqueci mesmo. Hoje, eu fui ver o que é que tinha nesta coleção que chamou a atenção e vi que o desfile foi bem bonito mesmo! Eu nem sei onde tem loja da Água de Coco aqui em São Paulo (isso é bem péssimo porque conheço muito esta cidadezinha, mas acho que tem uma na Oscar Freire ou na Lorena, nunca entrei), mas quero comprar para o meu próximo verãozinho!

Blog meeting comment

One more Sunday of blog meeting. And, once more, fun-fun-fun!!!

I have written here a few times about these meetings and, as crazy as it may seem, it is always so great to see and meet these ladies that religiously read the same lines and the writers themselves.

'Dia de Beauté', 'Oficina de Estilo' and 'It Girls' are huge blogs here in Brazil (I am not sure how many visits they got per day..) and this is the third time a meeting is promoted by their owners.

The meeting is really casual and fun, it's just us girls talking about make-up, clothes, trends and behaviour!

I video recorded part of the meeting, but, unfortunatelly my camera battery died. Therefore, I didn't record it all! I missed the complete 'Oficina de Estilo' speech.

Everything I recorded is above! It is all in Portuguese...sorry! I couldn't persuade all girls to talk in English! hahahaha!!! I just started learning how edit video files and I hope I will subtitle the videos to come.

Mais um domingo em que eu estive no encontrinho de blogs! Graças todos os santos que consegui lembrar no sábado à tarde, eu consegui uma vaguinha final! Foi uma delícia como sempre! Afinal, o que pode dar errado num encontrinho promovido por pessoas tão bacanas e que reúne queridas espalhadas pelo país para falar de beleza, moda e comportamento?

Parece loucura encontrar pessoas internéticas na vida real, mas dá super certo! Conheci a Celina, que me sugeriu a escreveu em Português também, da Luxos e Luxos, que eu adoro porque sempre me visita e deixa comentário aqui!

Levei minha câmerazinha pink e gravei o encontrinho em filme - aliás, apenas parte dele - porque a bateria da câmera me deixou na mão no meio do evento! Tudo o que eu gravei está aí em baixo! Espero que gostem!

Lenny is the best SS09 beachwear collection! The designer didn't hit common ground in pattern choice, nor in moulage.

This was Cori's Summer-Spring '09 collection.

Cori does its production for women, not girls. Its market positioning is mature, sophisticated and urban.

This collection had an ethnic inspiration without overdoing it. Making it simple and elegant.

Refinement

I am not a technical runway critic, nor do I do have experienced eyes to be a fashion critic. But Reinaldo Lourenço SS '09 runway show had a refinement detectable to all.

I don't know if you remember but my prom dress was a Reinaldo. I love his pieces!

Brazilian fashion weeks

This month, we have fashion overdose, because the fashion weeks are happening. Fashion Rio (at Rio de Janeiro) beggins tomorrow and it ends on June, 13th. And São Paulo Fashion Week is from June, 17th to June, 21st.

I was planning to go to the São Paulo Fashion Week at the weekend, but a corporate duty came up and totally blew any possibility of having a glimpse of the shows. Fashion Rio is also not visitable, because tomorrow I have my big birthday party at night! (full-schedule tomorrow! =])

Dream birthday present? Plane ticket to Rio de Janeiro and front seat invitations to the fashion shows. I KNOW it won't be possible and that's ok...many season are to come.

Semanas de moda brasileira

Este mês tem overdose fashion com o Fashion Rio e o SPFW!

Alguns pauzinhos já estavam se mexendo para que conseguisse entrar no SPFW no final de semana, mas apareceu um compromisso corporativo, não poderei ir em nenhum diazinho =[ !

Amanhã, começa o Fashion Rio, mas também não poderei ir porque tem a minha grandiosa festa de aniversário! Queria poder ir no domingo, mas TOTALMENTE impossível! Tudo bem....o futuro tá aí....

Cidade Jardim mall

Yesterday, after work, I visited the newest hot shopping spot in town, the Cidade Jardim mall. It opened last week and has Daslu, legendary Brazilian clothing boutique, Louis Vuitton, Hermés, Tifanny's, Bose, Longchamp, Reinaldo Lourenço, Carlos Miele, among other luxury temple stores.

It was really a flash visit! I got there at 9:30 p.m. and the stores close at 10:00 p.m. I didn't get to see it all yet, but it is really amazing! The Spanish clothing store chain, Zara, is the low-end option of the mall....that often it is expensive enough for my tiny income =]...

(I need to share this fact: I tried a pair of jeans at Zara and a size 4 fit me!! I got so happy! It has been years since the last time I was inside a 4! I got emotional..didn't buy it though...)

I had an acquisition there! Ha! I bought a perfume at Tania Bulhões. Its owner is a socialite that originally started her business with a home-decór store and just recently started a frangrance line.

(I had been looking for a new perfume for a while - it has been more than a year that I don't wear a perfume on my daily basis, ugh! - and I couldn't find one that pleased me. I liked the Aqua di Parma Iris Nobile, but I found the price outrageous here in Brazil, and I didn't find it at any Duty Free store or anywhere else at Buenos Aires during the last trip.)

The perfume I bought is called 'White Tea' really a delight, simple, discrete and truly sophisticated. I was impressed by the whole line of frangrances there. (sorry, as far as I know, there isn't any gadget that I can upload smells)

Shopping Cidade Jardã

Ontem, depois do expediente, eu fui ao novíssimo fervo do consumo, o Shopping Cidade Jardã (Jardã só para ser mais chic). Como todos sabem, o shopping abriu na semana passada e tem Daslu, Louis Vuitton , Tifanny's, Reinaldo Lourenco, Bose, Carlos Miele e outras referências do luxo!

A visita foi vapt-vupt, realmente só para matar a curiosidade (eu tentei ir no sábado passado, dia que o shopping abriu para a plebe, mas a fila de carros estava redécula...eu e o boyfriend nos recusamos em ir ao shopping poderoso, tendo que enfrentar a fila horrorosa)...pois continuando...cheguei lá ontem às 21:30 e fecha às 22:00. O Cidade Jardã tem Zara, que é a opção mais povão mesmo, que (geralmente) já é cara o suficiente para mim.

(Preciso dividir este fato: mesmo com o pouco tempo de lojas abertas, eu experimentei uma calça jeans na Zara - NÚMERO 36! E coube! Nossa, emocionei mesmo! Faz eras que uma 36 não fecha em mim!)

Bom, fiz uma aquisição lá no shopping! Comprei um perfume na loja da Tânia Bulhões! Nunca tinha ido a uma loja da TB, sempre fiquei super intimada em ir lá no Jardim Europa, mas amei! Olha...o perfume custou R$ 75, o que é beem abaixo do preço médio dos perfumes (dos importados, pelo menos!). Eu fiquei boba de ver a sofisticação da linha de fragrâncias da loja e também tem outros creminhos, gloss, sabonetes bacanérrimos! (p.s.: O perfume que eu comprei se chama 'White Tea'.)

I broke the bloguette first rule - I let a day fly by without a post. I am truly sorry, folks! Work was pure pressure yesterday.

This week, the SATC movie will be finally exihibited on the Brazilian screens. I am anxious to see it!

We also have my birthday this week!! I am celebrating my 22nd year in Earth! And the party is already scheduled and almost all the invitations were already done today.

This is a little birthday party, because my friend D and I are going to celebrate it together too! 22 years are worth 2 parties!

Yves Saint Laurent is dead, I read the news on Sunday at BryanBoy. I bet you have already done your personal tributes to him, I have. YSL had a vision the tranpassed his times, with the always-fresh Le Smoking for us girls, his innovative prêt-à-porter store, among others...
